Custom metered usage submission process

Billing platforms require developers to follow a standardized format for submitting usage data to ensure consistent and efficient usage data collection. AppDirect allows you to upload customized data and map it to appropriate subscription and pricing plans and apply rating logic to the incoming data.

The custom format can be delivered either through an API (see Metered usage V2) or by configuring and uploading a custom file type using the usage reader. The file types allowed are JSON and CSV. You can also markup or markdown the rate for a usage event based on event field value if a custom usage reader is set up.
